The secret of the golden gate bridge has been revealed by a man who has been living on the river bank for more than 40 years.
The Lad, who has not been named, was the first person to cross the bridge in 1849 and in the following century, it was the busiest bridge in the world.
Its name is a play on the word Lad, a small boat.
But, after a century of working on the bridge, the Lad has given up on the idea of a life in the river.
The 60-year-old Lad has told a local newspaper that he no longer feels the same pressure as he used to to cross and he has not planned to get married.
Instead, he is planning to build a small house on the bank and sell it when he dies.
But he is still determined to keep the secret to himself.
“I don’t want to get old or slow down,” he said.
“We can’t let this pass, we have to keep this secret for the whole life of our families.”
It will be like a great secret for us.
“It was a special day in the life of the Lad.”
When we came across the Golden Gates, the whole world was waiting,” he explained.”
And we have been here since 1849.
“The Lad’s secret of life on the Golden Garden Bridge was revealed on Sunday by a retired farmer who has lived on the island for 40 years who was walking on the Gold Coast when he was approached by The Lad.
The retired farmer, who wishes to remain anonymous, had just finished his breakfast when he spotted a newspaper advertisement for a house in the Gold and Orange Groves.
He was intrigued and, after speaking to the Lad, bought a plot of land for $1,000 and a boat to go to the Gold Garden.”
He had been living there for about 40 years and he had always told me about the golden gates and the bridge,” he told The Advertiser.”
So, he was really excited.
“He started building the house, which he christened ‘the Lad’s House’ with the help of the local fishermen.”
The Lad built the house in 1848 and he kept telling me how he would like to build his own house and build his house on his own property,” the retired farmer said.
The house has now become the first house in Australia to have a lifeboat attached to it.”
Every time we cross the Golden Gardens, the people in the bridge are always waiting for us to come across,” he added.”
They want to know how long we will be here and when we will come back.
“Mr Lad, now in his 80s, has lived in the Golden Gables for more years than 40.
He has never sold the house.”
My house has been the first one in Australia that people have bought and sold and bought and bought, and that is something that I have always wanted to do,” he noted.”
That is the only reason why I built this house.
“But he has never been able to sell it, as he is the one who is legally responsible for the building of the house and it has been in his family for generations.”
To me, it is my inheritance,” he revealed.”
In my family, we don’t own anything, so the house has always been in the family and the family will always own it.
It is my property, and I can take care of it.
“But the Lad said he was worried about the impact of his secret.”
There is no one here that knows about it, so I don’t know how to deal with it,” he admitted.”
But it is a great thing to have such a secret.
