Posted November 16, 2018 04:22:24Hype house members and cast members from the hit TV show “HypeHouse” are leaving their homes in Los Angeles and New York after a contract dispute, the company announced Friday.
The departure of stars John Krasinski, Lauren Lapkus and Lauren Laposz, and a cast member, Melissa Mancini, follows a two-month investigation by the entertainment division of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
The news came amid a heated bidding war between a series of companies bidding to buy the rights to the show, which airs on Bravo, a network that has a long history of producing high-profile dramas.
The new cast members, who will remain with the Bravo show, will join the production company that produced “The Real Housewives of New York City” as a new crew member and will work with new cast member Kasey Lee Garcia, who previously worked on Bravo’s “Big Love” and “The Hills Have Eyes.”
Lapkus and Laposki, who have worked on “The Bachelor,” will be the new cast of the reality show, according to a press release from Bravo.
The news comes less than two weeks after they joined the show’s cast.
The release did not specify the length of their contract with Bravo.
The contract dispute stems from an alleged “inadvertent” bid by a rival company that “is not affiliated with us and is not part of our portfolio,” according to the release.
The news comes after a series that has been a ratings success and has featured a host of celebrities, including Katy Perry, J.
Lo, Mariah Carey and others, has been embroiled in a series-ending bidding war.
