Arsenal are set to welcome back former striker Aaron Ramsey to their squad this summer.
Arsenal have already been linked with a move for the England international in recent weeks, but are understood to have moved quickly to secure the deal, sources close to the player have told ESPN FC.
Ramsey is currently at his native England, with his contract expiring in 2020 and the club unable to offer a fresh deal for the 24-year-old.
However, Arsene Wenger has been linked to the former Arsenal striker, who has been in and out of the side since joining from Southampton in 2013.
Ramseys versatility has made him an attractive option to Arsene, who may also be tempted by the prospect of adding a player with the versatility to be an additional threat at the back.
He scored 13 goals in 71 appearances for Arsenal, scoring in both of their Premier League victories over Crystal Palace and Sunderland, and has been the backbone of the Gunners’ backline.
Arsenal are expected to make a £25 million bid for the former Liverpool and Manchester City striker this summer, but the Gunner have also been linked recently with the possibility of signing Monaco’s Monaco winger Mohamed Salah, sources have told ESPN FC.
Salah has been capped by the French National Team and has scored nine goals in 25 appearances for Monaco, scoring four in the Europa League.
