Washington:The White House on Thursday cut ties with production company Legendary Pictures after allegations surfaced that the company had made derogatory comments about former Trump White House chief strategist Steve Bannon, the Associated Press reported.
A spokesman for the White House Office of Public Liaison did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The company did not return a request seeking comment.
In a statement on its website, Legendary Pictures denied the allegations, saying it “acknowledged and apologized to its former President and the American people for any and all mistakes made by Mr. Bannon, including his inappropriate behavior towards women, including one instance of unwanted touching in the Oval Office.”
The company said it was working with the White Senate Office to help with the matter and would cooperate fully with the ethics office.
